titrations are used to show the amount of alkali is needed to neturalse an acid.

the equipment you nedd to complete a successfull titration is...

*a burette

*a pipette

*a conical flask

*ph indicator

*clampstand

*eye protection

*and an acid and an alkiali

from this you can work out the concentration using equations (this is specified on the site :PapaSmurfsChemistryLesson.yolasite.com)

procedure...

~firstly set up all equipment and usin the pippette measure 25cm3 of the alkali into the conical flask

~then pour the acid in the burrette to the top point (use a funnel so none gets lost on the sides plus be careful when handling the acid.)

~add the ph indicator to the conical flask

~then do a practice run to see approximatly when the solution chnges its colour.

~then repat the measure this time slowing down when close to the  previous mark an add drop by drop recording the moment the whole mixture changes colour.

~repeat and take an average

~now your ready to start calculating you given acid
